Makes a lot of sense @highhead , i wasnt too sure about my "architecture" with alive but this makes much more sense for what im trying to do, and takes much less time and ressources to do it. Only having the wiki and not many examples on how an asymetric mission is made i could only guess the structure of the modules and trial and error every prototype. Glad this mission helped iron out a bug, sometimes i dont jnow if its a bug or just my fault trying to do something too "exotic" with ALiVE modules. Thank very much and take care. Im eager to use 1.1!

P.s with the current 1.0 version, if i disable the roadblock placement do you think its a good workaround to make the mission work or should i use either the dev build or just wait for 1.1?

Thank you dor the pointers. The test mission on Altis was also some botched "stress test" so iylt is onviously oberkill in the placements and profiles.

Initially the mission is made for CUP Takistan with much less units due to the lack of buildings compared to Altis.

The intention behind this mission was to make an enemy "bastion" and spawn them in a "no go zone" so that they stay in virtual space. I have them in the taor to spawn in that zone. Because the Mil AI commander only scans inside that taor for objectives i decided to put down custom objecrives to force the objectives outside the taor. This makes a very different mission compared to just putting down a taor that takes the whole map. We wanted to have a map with no cqb to make a more civilian map so we can work more on the populace and have a more realistic insurgency. The enemy is more scarce and they tricle down from their bastion. So in practice, when you start patrolling our job would be to reduce tension in villages and gradually push against the insurgents in the villages. The idea behind the huge clusterfuck of units in the taor is that they would be the "reserve" for the commander (but still have logistics for long term missions) and it would never be patroled by our unit, thus the huge blob of units. Bit its defenetly too much on the long run.

What i would like to see, maybe in future iterations, is a taor and blacklist for the mil ai commander, so you spawn the enemy in one zone and you dont need multiple cust obj to generate objectives for the commander. So you can give the commander a place to spawn units with taor_1 for the mil civ placements but have a taor_2 that gives the AO to the commander. Does that make any sense?

But i defenetly overdid thisossion, will revise.

Oh wow ok so it wasnt just the way i made the mission. Glad to hear that. Im still 4h aways drom finishing at work so i will try to test this out once im back home. Thank you so much for the fast response! Ill clean out our modpack and reinstall the new version just in case. Have you tried it in dedicated server?

Thank you @highhead , this mission was made with the current 1.0 ALiVE and 2.3.1 for CBA, details are in the post. It doesnt use persistance nor HC also. I did not test this same mission with the recent dev build @Tupolov posted, but i did a new mission from scratch with it and got the same result. I think that the error message screenshot (in the zip) might be related to the issue. In local host it seems that the environment is more "tolerent" for errors like thse, but on the dedicated it crashes the server completely. I will post my new mission with the dev build later tonifht after work.

Thank you very much guys for your time.

Tried the new version that @Tupolov put on ftp but i haven't got any success, server still freezes after a couple of minutes. Now im questionning myself if im not doing something wrong with ALiVE modules plain and simple.

I have made a post here maybe 2 weeks ago with my mission file (vanilla on altis) to show the setup ive made. For some obscure reason its when i put the Mil AI Commander to Assymetric and use installations, with the C2IStar module to show total intel, when the mission finishes the initialization it crops up an error referring to a function in ALiVE (screenshot in the zip file of my previous post). When i switch the mission to invasion or occupation everything runs smoothly.

The mission setup is as follows: civ modules populate the whole map, mil ai comm linked to one civ placememt and one mil placement, ied module, the ennemy has a small taor and custom objectives are placed on the villages (outside the taor) so that the profiles get the orders to get out the taor and start occuping the objectives. When the installations start to initialize this is when the error starts to appear. In local host you can see the error and keep going, but in dedicated it crashes the server (program not responding) and there is nothing in the rpt.

Ill make amother test after work and post my files after that.

I guess i can piggy-back on this thread regarding the server hangs and crashes.

My friend and I tried to make an Asymetric mission the other week and started to have these errors, mostly the server hangs and crashes after its memory has been filled up.

So we dug into the problem and started a dev with @ALiVE (1.0.0.1602091) and @CBA (2.3.1) only (using the stable branch). The mission is made on Altis and in the "Eden" editor the mission.sqm binarization is turned off. Here are my impressions:

-It seems to come from the Installation placement in the MIlitary AI commander, when activated, in local server i get the following error "Error undefined variable in expression: _state" "x\alive\addons\fnc_analysis\fnc_liveanalysis.sqf, line 514" when you start running trough the map towards the enemy "bastion" once the modules loaded up (until the Intel appears).

-Removing the Assymetric mode or just simply deactivating the Installations stops the error. Other modes like Invasion and Occupation doesnt generate the error AFAIK.

When loaded up on the dedicated, you can start the mission, load it up at 100%, leave it run for as many hours/days as you want it wont crash, its only when you log in and start walking towards the enemy that the error occurs. It freezes the server and chugs up all the RAM until the dedicated server crashes. You won't notice this if you play alone, only that the server on "#monitor" doesn't post anymore after a while.

I did a "portfolio" with the mission file, and the two RPT's (one from my local machine testing in local host, and the other from our dedicated (*HUGE RPT 24mb*)) and also a screencapture of the error i got in local host running this mission. The mission inside is quite light (couple of kbs) but its made to stress test our machine also, we didnt want to overlook certain aspects, so if im correct this mission takes a bit to load up and has 86 objectives triggering the "80" limit warning. Also, if the mission is badly "structured" with the custom objectives let me know, for all i know maybe im trying to do something impossible with ALiVE and just plainly breaking it because im overwhelming the Military Commander with multiple Custom Objectives (is there a limit to the number you can synch to it?)

Ive read that it might be the error that HighHead is working on but i might be mistaken. Hoping for the best.

    Hope this helps
