It would be really cool if the enemy actually did spawn emplacements around high priority objectives though!
-and also perhaps truck them into newly captured high-priority objectives.

"Prepared position FOR weapons"
In game it's just a bunch of guys. Not s prepared position nor any weapons besides small arms carries by the bad guys.
It's not the attack part, it's the "emplacement" versus "area, position, ect.."
In my mind, an "emplacement" means some type of weapon fortified into position. Therefor I'm expecting to find something like that when in reality it's just a "clear the sector" mission.
I haven't went through them all, but I noticed that If I auto-generate an 'Attack Military Objective' task from C2ISTAR, It comes with a parent task called "Attack Emplacement".
Am I the only one who finds this extremely misleading? Twice now I've loaded up with demo charges to go take out this "emplacement".
The description of the task is correct, but for people like me who read half the title before going "I see emplacement and this is Arma so I need demo"...
Gotta say though, This is the worst thing about ALiVE so far which is damn impressive for such a complex machine. This mod makes ArmA worthwhile.
I know this is old but I happened upon this because I just had the same thing.
I just saved the mission, and restarted the mission (not even the server) and it was fixed.
We already have the 3 settings for "spawn" distance:
I'm suggesting a field where we can add cfgs to blacklist custom vehicles. This would enable us to ensure that support vehicles are used only for support, since they can't spawn their own enemies.
I came here because of this issue as well. I also tried blacklisting the base area containing vehicles but it didn't help. AI will spawn in random gunner slots In vehicles within the base area.
They don't spawn in all the vehicles but it seems to not be random because they do spawn in the same ones each time.
Currently they seem to like the LAV and humvees.
On a side note, is it possible to use the OPCOM and C2lSTAR modules while completely disabling Friendly AI? I want the logistics and tasks without friendlies doing their own thing and the mil placement has a minimum of 30 -75%
I had this issue too, my problem was I typed in the custom faction I wanted to use incorrectly.
Since typing incorrectly in the faction field causes it to load forever, maybe just double-check that.
I also noticed that I could tell with the loading bar if it was going to work or not. When previewing your mission it does 2 loading bars. When the second bar reaches completion it should enter in game within a few seconds. My experience showed that if the second bar is loaded and the game still doesn't kaunch almost immediately, it never will so there's no point waiting. Then I have to end task for arma and start over.
