@SpyderBlack723 Please make sure you are saving the mission with the ALiVE Save Server and Exit buttons and not the vanilla abort buttons.

You can verify your persistence setup by following the instructions on the ALiVE warroom server setup page.

I have a script where I can spawn in fortifications. Will they stay after I save and exit or no?

@HeroesandvillainsOS  You need to register a dedicated server with ALiVE's War Room and enable persistence within the mission itself: http://alivemod.com/wiki/index.php/Persistence

I highly recommend you look over the wiki. It has a lot of useful information to get you started with ALiVE in general.

I did everything it says but it does not stay persistent after i restart the mission.

@HeroesandvillainsOS  Sure. Assymetric is a great mode and things can be very random. http://alivemod.com/wiki/index.php/Insurgency

Make one side Assymetric; place down some objective modules, and maybe an IED and CQB module and sync them all to the Assymetric commander. Then place a civilian placement and civilian population module (not synced to anything) and watch how things will unfold.

In the beginning, the Assymetric side will establish some installations and strongholds. Then, they'll begin recruiting civs and lots of neat stuff will happen.

Just last night my unit went into clear a town which was pretty empty aside from some weapons depots and some civs sleeping. Then suddenly they surrounded us and hit us hard and it was a really exciting time.

All ALiVE modes are great due to the randomization. But Assymetric missions are my favorite because I really like patrolling and talking to the civilians. Sometimes it's slow and other times action packed which is exactly what makes ALiVE so amazing.

Can i get your teamspeak ip to your unit.

@HeroesandvillainsOS  You can blacklist any town you don't want enemies to spawn in by adding a marker over the town and putting the marker name in the civ/mil obj (and CQB) blacklist lines.

If you're asking about how to make it randomized - that way, sometimes enemies are there and other times not - ALiVE works that way by default.

    In Asymmetric mode or what

How would i make it so enemies are not always in towns and there are just civs there. Like MSO on arma 2.

Is there way to make it so that Ai dont spawn in towns randomly. So lets say that a player group drives through a village and they dont get attacked. Then an hour later they drive back through it. Is there a way to get the AI to attack that 2nd time they come through. And if i did that again there was a chance to not get attacked at all?

Is there a way to set custom groups for ALIVE to spawn in, using faction mapping?

J jarodaffy posted in How to make enemies attack? (SOLVED).

@HeroesandvillainsOS  Without knowing exactly what you want to do, there are a few choices to get enemies to populate a certain area. You could:

    1. Manually add some enemies down in the area.
    2. Place a Military Placement Custom objective module in the area you want enemies in and make the priority high.
    3. You could add them same module and force enemies to spawn there by adding numbers (units) to the override lines.
    4. Place a normal Military/Civilian objective module whitelisting the area with a marker and blacklisting the rest of the map.

Number two is probably the best option if you want some randomness but beware doing so won't mean they will always attack or spawn there 100% of the time.

Ok so with #2 do i place it on the area where i want them to go such as a town of do i have to script it in the module somehow
