@Inspire1 Insurgency? Typically try to clear area around FOB...followed by patrols of nearby villages...followed by move towards establishing a secondary FOB in most active area (I typically have starting spawn point, then a secondary moveable spawn point that can be positioned where needed).
That's the typical strategy we use.
@Inspire1 If all you are doing is creating the groups (not editing equipment, etc)..... 20-30 min max.
If you are editing the individual units...probably 1-2 hours.
@Inspire1 Isla Duala is one of my all time favorite maps period. Specifically geared towards African campaigns.
N'Ziwasogo, despite using older jungle assets...still a great map and HUUUUUUGE (but pure jungle).
Kidal is another very big map that is an actual recreation of Western Africa in Mali.
There is also Mogadishu but that one appears to be bugged since the 64 bit update.
Isla Duala is great but not very "green hellish"...more of an African Savannah style.
N'Ziwasogo is great but older jungle assets.
Tanoa would fit very well IMO because all of the towns are French named...many parts of Africa are predominantly French. You could consider Tanoa as part of an African island chain.
Just my .02.
Song Bin Tanh and the Thai map (won't attempt to spell that name lol) have Asian names so it may feel a bit out of whack.
So I'm attempting to combine the Faces of War, IFA3 Lite, and CSA 38 mod assets into a single German Faction in the ORBAT.
For some reason...everything except the CSA 38 mod assets show up correctly in the unit editor...but the CSA 38 mod assets don't show up anywhere within the ORBAT.
I understand that due to the way certain mods are grouped, that they may need to be regrouped within ALiVE...but I have never seen where the individual units themselves are not visible.
Has anyone else messed around with the CSA 38 mod in ORBAT? Is there something else in the actual unit configs that is preventing the individual solders, tanks, etc. from being useable in ORBAT?
Just curious.
I put a new campaign (NATO vs 2035 Russia) on our server last night. Even with multiple aircraft fighting overhead, helos bringing in reinforcements, and troop and tanks galore...server FPS never dropped below 43 FPS. If you haven't tried a Malden ALiVE campaign yet, I highly recommend it.
Ok, quick and dirty Air Showcase on Stratis.
There is a player controlled aircraft directly across from the player on the Freedom. Get to the air and go fight CSAT. All other aircraft are controlled by ALiVE. (No time for bells and whistles on this one, just purely a demo of how the modules work)
I'll expand on it with more time. Has a Zeus module for you to sit back and watch all the goodness too.

I tried the same setup on Stratis and it worked great!! So it may just be an issue with Malden (similar to the exploding helos I reported on Github on Malden).
I'll finish up this Stratis Showcase for the ATO module then post on here.
Ok so small snafu on my Malden showcase...
I was using the USS Freedom as the base and everything was working great until the F-18s blew up at the catapult launches.
Only using CBA and ALiVE. I'll post the bug on github. Looks like it's gonna be pretty sweet though.
FYI Folks...
I'm building a Vanilla ALiVE Showcase mission for the Air module on Malden now. I should have it up on here for people to see how it works shortly. You'll need the latest Dev version of ALiVE that is posted on github of course.
