Hej there,
is it possible, somehow, to save the game before a restart to save the persistant things like bases, missions and Equipment? Especially the player-built-bases and boxes would be important.
Do you get the error, that no Groups are defined? Then you could try another CUP Faction.
Do you have a space behind the faction? "CUP_B_US_Army " or something similiar?
Check the Capital letters of the Faction Name, best would be to use the 3d Editor to check the config file and then search for faction=....
Maybe (not sure, but had a similiar Problem with another mod somewhen) the factions you wrote in are just the vehicle faction. Some mods do tend to Group their Units in vehicle faction and infantry faction.
It was with the generated Task.
First: please stay in one thread.
Second: I'd try to download the mods again and install them after deleting the current ones. Then try again. It seems to me as if something in your CUP files is not working.
Yesterday I did have some AIs doing crazy stuff.
I was assigned the Mission to pick up some troops. Drove there with an offroader, some AI hopped in, some stayd there. I took another car, noone jumped in anymore, so I went to Zeus and ordered them in. They behaved and got in.
We drove and stopped due to someone beeing afk (friendly area) and then some of those AI jumped out and took Position next to the car. I had to order them in again via Zeus.
We drove on and as we were attacked and stopped the car, the AI Groups jumped out, ran around a bit and jumped back in, then out again, ran around... non stop.
Even ordering via Zeus (after the firefight was over) didn't work. I had to pull those jumping in and out out of the Group, for the others to stay in.
For my Mission you'd Need 10 GB of mods. DaVidoSS did link you a Mission in the other thread you made I think. Try that first. Can you give a list of mods you run on your Mission?
Do any Units get spawned at all?
What happens if you put the Force Weighting to infantry only?
put down a Zeus module and as soon as the Mission starts get into zeus (Z mostly?) and take a look around, if any enemies spawn.
i am using the CAF_Aggressor and Theseus Services Mods and they work quite nicely. I did not use the CUP units yet (and probably will never), so I cannot say anything about that one.
could it be that your cup-files are corrupted somehow? Maybe you still got the downloaded Archive to re-unpack it and overwrite your mod-folders to be sure.
@JD_Wang You could take a look at Hazey's Insurgency
He did a really nice Job with the Intel you mentioned. Intel items are spawned inside houses and dropped by killed enemies with a adjustable Chance. Those items give you the Location of weapon Caches, but not the exact Position. First Intel items give you a Position with approx 1000m distance. After collecting some, it goes down till you reach 50m distance somewhen. Then you can start searching houses (you can start earlier, depending on the Population of houses in that area) for that box. If you find it, you can put a bomb down and blow it up. Then a new one is spawned randomly on the map and new Intel leads to that.
It's really nicely done and you can put it in every map and Mission already existing, since it's a nicely planned Framework.
@CDEEKS Do you have a space behind the Faction Name? "CUP_B_US_Army " <--
That will mess your Factions up.
Can easily happen with some copy and paste work.
If that is not working, then try to use another faction. BLU_F for Starters. If that is not working, you got something messed up other than the faction itself. I'm not sure if the CUP_B_US_Army has Groups and such defined already, which could lead to that error you had too.
