Can I limit the AI air units to only use a certain type of plane etc? Like if I load the T-6 Texan II addon and want the AI Air cover to fly those planes only.

You can manually place those planes in the editor and sync them to the Virtual AI System (with appropriate settings). They need to be of the same faction as an AI Commander to be utilized properly.

but will the AI commander reinforce the AI units with new planes of that type if those planes get destroyed? I want to replace the stock jets with Propeller Based aircraft. That way, the AI faction would use those planes instead of the stock jets.
