[Error] Can't Connect to War Room

We have managed VDS servers from NFO. I cannot seem to connect to the War Room.
The authorize URL from the log http://alivemod.com/api/authorise?&group=29th%20ID returns false. Could that be the problem?

Could be the space in your group name... let me poke the DB dev to respond.
Also we've had problems with NFO in the past not 'unblocking' the .dll that is required to use the War Room... I think you'd get a different error if that was the case however.

I don't think its an issue with the plugin, as its getting a correct return.
Try changing group name to "29th-ID", "29th" or "twentyninth" (incl. redownloading and applying the ALiVE config) first, only to rule that out, please! Thank you!

From the /admin/clan/edit page change the "Name" or the "Title" field?

I changed the "Title" field and re downloaded the alive.cfg but the space is still present in the group name.

Can you check to see if the IP address registered in your WR profile is the same as the public-facing IP of your dedicated server? I've heard of people having to contact the provider's support in order to get the IP... not sure if that is the case for NFO.

I asked NFO...
...The public facing IP is the IP we assign the server. It's listed on the Description tab of the control panel.
Could it be the "Tag" from /admin/clan/edit/### that needs to change? That field has a space in it and it's greyed out; I can't change it.

i changed your tag to 29th-ID.
Download the alive.cfg again and give it a try.
can you confirm your server IP
connect to the server as admin and use #debug von
this should create a server_console_xxxx.log
there you can find your IP

I just tried by changing the IP to the one listed in the consol.log, 63.251.20.45. No luck.

Your server IP is still 192.223.27.178 on War room though.
and not 63.251.20.45

I tried it and then switched it back and tried the first one again.
After some discussion with NFO I got this:
The IP address that the server binds to is a listening address, meaning, it will only respond to requests at that address. When opening a new outgoing connection (Such as a mod opening a MySQL connection), it can open that connection from any address on the machine, so there's really no way to anticipate the IP address it will use.

66.150.121.244
Try that in war room, should work.
