I was watching a video of MCC recently, and i noticed a not-so-simple-to-me way of saving a module such as FOBs and such so that you can go into editor later, and customize it.

Is this possible with ALiVE? If so...what steps are needed?

I would suggest looking up ZEC module (Zeus and Eden Compositions). There are a ton of pre-built bases using this.
There is also a mod called CompoT that allows you to custom build and save compositions for use in Zeus/Eden.
