@HeroesandvillainsOS or @marceldev89
Disregard below....my testing shows that neither VCOM or Incognito using the same functions impact our community's ability to have a persistent save with ALiVE. We have something else creating our problem. Time for more testing.
I hate to bring this up here but I think VCOM might have been the problem. Not 100% sure as this is out of my league for sure but I found an older thread in here that pointed towards a problem with CfgRemoteExec breaking some parts of mods.
I haven't reached out on the VCOM GitHub yet to get their ideas on possible issues. Since I just discovered this with our dedicated server and trying to save back to the War Room yesterday its been rather hectic searching for a fix. I also haven't spent too much time tracking this down right now as it may necessitate a rewrite of a mission I am currently running.
Thanks @cbff33 I got it and I looked it over. Also sent you one of my factions so you can do a comparison while I bang away and see what I can get for you.
Never see a reason to do it that way but we have moved the modules manually to simulate the same thing you have asked about in a mission and then either uploaded a new named mission or just used the same name. I don't think you can link it to move on it's own with anything else. BUT then again I have never tried it either. @HeroesandvillainsOS might have a different look at it as another ALiVE mission maker.
How does ALiVE like working with the ITC modules? I haven't checked it out yet but was thinking it might be a little problematic.

Have any of you guys ever seen a unit set themselves over 1,000 waypoints (still climbing BTW and server is choking to death). We saw this last weekend and one unit set itself over 13,000 waypoints and brought the server to its knees begging for forgiveness. We had 10 players on the box then. Today I am on our test box checking something and found 1 unit that spawned in via ALiVE and its setting waypoints continuously. Obviously there is a conflict somewhere with the code but I am not sure where to find it or how to eliminate it. Having used VCOM with missions for almost 2 years now this is the first time I have seen this happen but I am not sure its VCOM as nothing is in combat; I am running Fen_A3 for limited items but this unit was spawned in via ALiVE.
Dropbox link for RPT of mission on server.
Thanks will take a look at it tonight my time Central US when I get home from work.
Yes; its a pain in the butt to do that with the vehicles; however ALiVE understand what is happening exactly when it is done. When we build a persistent mission we used to do it without placing down any vehicles on the map until the mission was loaded. Now we build the mission with the vehicles in it and just have the admin do a virtualize command and they work as intended. If we have items just for show they are scripted and have no AI allowed to take control of them so it makes life easier.
@SavageCDN I don't even put down a CQB module any more. I found that the blacklist more times than not didn't keep the things like divers from spawning in any faction regardless of how it was written. BTW PM inbound to you as well.
@slampemil I have the same problem as
Some turret errors or no entry 'bin/config.bin/CfgFactionClasses'
Tried pretty much everything..

I think thats the right rpt
Thanks for a great mod anyway!
HOLY CRAP that is extremely unreadable in that state...can you just zip up the RPT and send it over? I honestly can't make heads or tails out of what that is EVEN by using ctrl-f to attempt to filter it.
@cbff33 Would you be willing to link me the factions you are wanting to make in a file along with your existing files and maybe I can take a look at it and see what might be the problem? AND maybe help overcome that same problem?
I am far from an expert on it but I have dealt with some pretty hard bugs in making factions and have overcome them....99% of the time and I am extremely OCD when it comes to getting it just right; so I completely understand but I am willing to give a hand if at all possible.
