WarRoom & Rented Dedi Server Help

  1. 7 years ago

Hi, I'm new to Exile & have got a couple of missions set-up. They are purely amazing to watch and have changed the dynamic experience of our group considerably. #Donations coming your way.

I need some help with the War Room Setup,

I rent my server on Gameservers, which with Cyberduck allows me to access all the folder files. For the life of me I can not get the Save settings work or WarRoom to connect to the server.

A separate question: Does the ALiVE Data persistence save moved vehicles and objects (I am running this aside ace so the logistics/interaction menu work in line with each other)?

So I have followed al the wiki guides on establishing connection:

    1) The data module is on 'Cloud' so I can save it to the WarRoom
2)The Alive.cfg is in my Arma3 root directory.
3)The server IP & Host name is connected to the Warroom

When I Admin Save & Exit - it just comes up with 'Mission Exited', The WarRoom isn't collecting any data on any mission.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, let me know if you need any other info/files.

  2. The server RPT file should contain a message telling you the actual IP that you need to register on war room. Something like YOUR SERVER EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS AS SEEN BY WAR ROOM: ....

  3. Hey Marceldev89,

That worked a treat, thanks for you help.

Do you know about moved objects/vehicles? If I were to spawn in a Heli as Zeus or other objects, if I server saved and reloaded would the Zeus objects still be in place as to were i put them?

    Thanks!

  4. Vehicles will only save if a player physically gets in and then gets out of one. I'm assuming the only objects that will save are one placed and moved by ALiVE's logistics but I've never tested it or Zeus and persistence in general really. Should be simple enough to test though.

  5. Thanks that has really helped me out!
