So I'm looking for a good map to simulate a north African campaign for ww2. Any suggestions?

WW2? Hmm. N'Ziwasogo could be a good choice (though please test it first, I have issues with it. Other people don't seem to).
Isla Duala is awesome, but might be a bit too modern looking for WW2 maybe?
Bin Song Tanh might be a good choice too. Could be the best actually. Not sure if it really can pass for Africa though so check it out and see if it suits your needs.

Ni ziwasogo is jungle ain't it? Im was looking more north Africa.
Isla dula was one of my thoughts too.

I looked at bin sing and think it would be better as a ww2 Japanese vs American map. I really appreciate the suggestions.

Yeah N'Ziwasogo is mostly jungle, but the cities are enormous so I like the map a lot. But yeah, if you don't want jungle than that map won't be a great choice.

I'm doing an Afrika Corps set of missions on N'Djenahound by Mahkno. That is BY FAR the best interpretation of North Africa IMO. And it's completely devoid of buildings so you don't have to worry about a WW2 mission with modern buildings, etc. on it.

^^^ The map is an excellent template if you want to place objects and have complete control over your mission (or no buildings at all if you prefer!).
Though be aware I don't think there are any footstep sounds. Just wanted to point that out incase something like that would bother you.
The map has been "indexed," though again, be aware there are no buildings so you'll have to use cust objs and place the groups yourself. The index will be included in the next ALiVE release.

I'm actually cool with this. ACE and me in SP is no bueno. I'll try it here soon. It sounds awesome.
