Optimizing My server frames

    Hey guys I am currently trying to optimize my server's frames to make a smoother play through. The main issue is when I have is after approaching the main city server frames frop from roughly 45-37fps to zero and makes the server hang.

    The map is Zargabad.
    There is a local headless client.
    Spawn limiter is 40 with a spawn radius of 1200.
    I have one TOAR that makes up most of the map in the middle for CSAT then one smaller one for BLUFOR in the southern part.NO overlaps.
    Force sizes are around 100 for each civ/mil placement module.
    The only mods on the server are; CBA, ALiVE, ALiVE server, All in Arma, and ACE.

    This has been a long-standing problem with Zargabad and my guess is that there isn't much you can do about it. To confirm that is the case create a simple mission with a few AI in town and test - I'm betting your frames won't improve that much.

    If your test mission does run much better try reducing the number of AI or limit the spawn radius to something like 800m.

    edit: are you using the CQB module? Try reducing the numbers there as well.

    Okay well thanks for the input. Is there any other maps this also tends to happen with, or is there any recommended maps (besides stratis or altis) ?

    Also yes I am using the CQB module but its only 10% of the TOAR

  4. Any map with a large town (lots of enter-able buildings) will suffer from this to some degree.. before going with another map I would run a quick test as I described in my previous post just to make sure.
