I really want to run a slightly modified NATOFOR mission for my unit and these random friggin freezes were really bringing me down.
I've been trying to find less feature packed versions to pick from, or maybe build my own with my neophyte skills.
I guess I'll play with the auto backup persistence setting in the modules and see if that can at least mitigate the crashes until someone, somewhere, can stabilize things. Or I cobble together an acceptable mission that doesn't crash.
Auto backup persistence setting? Could you clarify what that is and what it does?
My guess? ACE is conflicting with some other mod that causes a crash when run with ALiVE. Whether that be some oddball ACE module conflicting with some unit pack or what have you is anyone's guess. It just seems like ACE is usually part of the equation but ACE/ALiVE/CBA are not the problem itself based on Ski's recent testing.
I wonder if Ski has tried Operation Landlord with @aliveserver? Though I doubt that too because I'd gather a lot of groups just run those 3 mods with the server for War Room persistence.

I had mixed results with server stability and persistence so far. Here's my mission's logs with successful server saving and then restarting with persistence features, using ACE+RHS+BWMOD plus lotsa other mods:

Not as clean a testing environment as CBA, ALIVE, ACE only, but still worth a look I hope.
@SOAR_Jooce I know the callExtension issue was brought up once and you responded to it @Tupolov , but could something have changed in 1.54 that doesn't like how you're managing the return values?
In relation to freezes, its not applicable as we have had freezes without using the extension (which is only required for persistence on server)
Thanks guys. We can repro the freeze when we hammer the server (lots of profiles, HC, persistence etc) with 2 clients connected. Like I said, I suspect there might be a couple of scenarios where a freeze can happen but we believe we have fixed 2 issues that likely contribute to the most common one.
